WWEs Kayla Braxton, Adam Pearce Confirm Theyve Tested Positive For COVID-19

Add two more names to the growing list of WWE talent that has been affected by COVID-19.

Kayla Braxton and Adam Pearce have both confirmed they’ve contracted the virus, posting on their respective social media accounts about their statuses. Reports have been coming since Wednesday about a group of positive tests in WWE, with Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet first reporting that “at least three” positive tests were confirmed within the group of talent at WWE’s most recent set of tapings.

Pearce, a producer in the company, confirmed he tested positive by saying “Covid was NOT on my birthday list.” Braxton not only confirmed she has tested positive for the coronavirus, but this is her second confirmed case as she also had it in March.

This news comes after Renee Young confirmed a positive test for COVID-19 on Wednesday night, and that All Elite Wrestling pulled both Jon Moxley (Young’s husband) and QT Marshall for precautionary measures after coming in contact with the coronavirus.

PWInsider.com reported one source believed the total number of positive tests in WWE could be in “the two dozen range” but could not confirm the accuracy of that beyond confirming there are multiple positive cases. POST Wrestling also reported WWE had talent and crew arrive one day early this week in order to test talent. Double tapings of RAW and SmackDown are currently planned for Friday and Saturday due to the delay in the taping schedule.

When asked for comment on the positive cases, WWE issued the following statement to WrestleZone:

“WWE will continue COVID-19 testing of its talent, production crew and employees in advance of TV productions for the foreseeable future.”
