The Remarkable Achievement of 9-year-old David Balogun: One of the Youngest High School Graduates Ev

A 9-year-old boy from Pennsylvania’s Bucks County, who has graduated from high school and is currently attending college, encourages other young children to believe that they can achieve similar feats.

David has become the youngest student to graduate from Reach Cyber Charter School in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and is now enrolled in classes at Bucks County Community College.

Speaking to “Good Morning America,” David Balogun advised, “Know what you’re good at and what you’re not good at because if you’re not good at a subject, you shouldn’t be discouraged if you didn’t get an A-plus in that subject.”

“If you’re not that good at a subject but if you excel in other subjects, you can still graduate at a young age,” he added.

David pursued an accelerated program, studying year-round and embracing a wide range of subjects.

“As my mom puts it, my favorite subject is learning new things,” said David. “I’m happy to learn something new, whether it’s art, math, science, English, or social studies.”

He particularly enjoys math and science, especially nuclear chemistry, and aspires to pursue a career in astronomy, engineering, or software development.

When not studying, David also enjoys building robots and watching online videos on various subjects from astronomy to physiology.

David’s mother, Ronya Balogun, expressed immense pride in her son’s achievements.

Henry Balogun, David’s father, shared his joy, saying, “It has always been my pleasure to see my son in this position today.”

He added, “This is fantastic. We are deeply grateful to God for his achievement. He has not reached the end yet, and now he is in college.”

Ronya Balogun’s message to other parents is to support their children whenever possible. “It’s very rewarding, but you have to think outside the box, advocate, and not give up,” she emphasized.

“Be their own cheerleader, believe in them, even when they sometimes doubt themselves. Just believe in them. As far as you want to go, go. There is no limit to your dreams,” she encouraged.
